X-CARVE BASE KIT INFO
These eight components will come with each X-Carve. The router, waste board and other extras will need to be purchased separately
RAIL KIT
MakerSlide, support extrusions, GT2 belts,
brackets and hardware. This keeps the router on a
rigid frame to carve in a stable and accurate axis.
These rails can also be customized.
NEMA MOTOR KIT
Four stepper motors with connectorized cable
assemblies This will move the router
along the rails in precise detail.
DRAG CHAIN KIT
Drag chain, mounting brackets and hardware.
A neat and tidy way to keep all the motor
wires out of the way from the wheels and router.
HOMING SWITCH KIT
Switches, assembled cables and hardware.
Accurately keeping your router to home in
the same place every time. Plus it stops the x
axis from slamming into corners.
Z-PROBE KIT
A simple and easy way for the drill bit to know
where to top of the material is without having to do any
calculations yourself!
TOOLKIT
Includes 7 piece metric hex key set, 2mm slot head
screwdriver, 7mm, 8mm, and 10mm open-end wrenches,
safety glasses, all in a waterproof black pouch because
who doesn’t love tools to help get the job done!
CLAMP SET
60 piece set for securing material up to 1.75"
thick to the waste board while carving.
Colour coated for different material heights.
X-CONTROLLER
High-power motion controller kit for X-Carve an
easy and powerful “brain” for a computer
to plug into that controls the motors. On top is an emergency
stop button to pause a carve if something doesn’t look right.
ROUTER
DEWALT D26200 ROUTER
This is the Inventables and Robosavvy recommended
router for precision, adjustable speed and lots of power!
DEWALT SPINDLE MOUNT
This extruded aluminium spindle mount is specifically
designed for holding a Dewalt D26200 on the X-Carve.
With 3 M4 tapped holes for add-ons and a ¼
to ⅛ collet adaptor for holding carving bits.
SPINDLE MOUNTING PLATE
This optional plate can attach to the Z axis to
hold a different device along with the Universal Spindle Mount,
in case you want to add a different diameter router that
won’t fit into the Dewalt spindle mount.
UNIVERSAL SPINDLE MOUNT
This kit will make sure your device is securely
strapped into the X-Carve. Feel free to attach any device,
from routers to Dremels, or even pens.
The idea world is yours in this universal cosmos!
UPGRADES
DUST COLLETOR
Some may consider this a must for their X-Carve!
A great way to keep the shop clean and a clear path
for the bit to carve without obstructions.
WASTEBOARD
Holes spaced evenly to secure your material to the
surface. Also does a great job keeping the frame rigid and stable.

3.8W LASER ENGRAVING & CUTTING KIT
This laser is for the more experienced carver.
An optional add-on to the DeWalt spindle mount or
the Spindle Mounting Plate, this laser can carve and
engrave all sorts of materials.
J TECH PHOTONICS
2.8W LASER ENGRAVING & CUTTING KIT
A little less powerful than the 3.8W, but still packs a punch!
This laser is for the more experienced carver. An optional
add-on to the DeWalt spindle mount or the Spindle Mounting
Plate, this laser can carve and engrave all sorts of materials.
X-CARVE MOUNTING KIT FOR JTECHPHOTONICS
Allows the JTechPhotonics laser kits to be attached
to a DeWalt Spindle Mounting kit with ease.
