The SST Liquid Level Sensor uses solid-state optical detection, not moving parts, to provide highly reliable, single-point liquid sensing in tight spaces. While mechanical floats are prone to jamming, sticking, and eventual failure, this miniature optical sensor replaces physical switches with a fully solid-state design, providing a TTL-compatible push/pull output as soon as it detects fluid.
Zero Moving Parts
To provide consistent, jam-free sensing, this compact unit utilizes clever light-based mechanics:
Optical Detection: An internal infrared LED and phototransistor sit precisely at the base of the sensing tip. In the air, the light bounces back efficiently. Once immersed in liquid, the infrared light escapes, immediately changing the output state.
Solid-State Reliability: Operating entirely on optical principles means no mechanical parts can wear out or jam over time.
Durable Construction: The tip features a polysulfone housing designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -25°C to +80°C.
You can easily install the SST Liquid Level Sensor from the outside of your tank or fluid reservoir using a standard M12 threaded connector.
