This selectable DC-DC buck converter brings four common supply voltages to one compact power module. Choose a single 3.3V, 5V, 9V or 12V output to match the project, with 5V preset for a straightforward starting point. The 7.5V~30V input range supports stepping down a higher-voltage supply for LEDs, robots, servos and low-power motors. Measuring just 2.7cm by 2cm, this buck converter fits into compact builds while providing output-specific current ratings, thermal protection and overload protection. Suitable cooling enables up to 5A output at the 3.3V and 5V settings.
Four Selectable Voltages for Different Builds
From a 3.3V supply to a 12V load, this buck converter offers four fixed voltage options without changing modules. Output selection uses the corresponding solder pads on the back, with the 5V pad bridged at the factory. For a different voltage, remove the existing bridge and bridge the desired pad. One selected voltage is available at a time, making this module useful across projects with different supply requirements rather than as a simultaneous four-output supply.
Current Capacity Matched to the Load
This buck converter provides rated outputs of up to 3A at 3.3V, 5V and 12V, or 2.5A at 9V, without requiring heat dissipation under the stated test conditions. With suitable heat dissipation, maximum outputs reach 5A at 3.3V/5V and 3.5A at 9V/12V. These separate ratings make selecting a supply for servos, LEDs and small motors more straightforward. Output parameters are measured at 25 ℃, and continuous large-current loads require heat sinks.
Built-In Protection with Visible Status
This power module includes 70℃ over-temperature protection and overload protection to support practical power-system builds. An onboard indicator stays solid red during normal operation, providing a quick visual check of the supply status. When protection is triggered, the indicator goes out and the output voltage drops to 0.1V. This visible change helps identify a protection event during setup or operation, while the published current ratings and cooling requirements guide load selection.
Compact Board for Easy Integration
A 2.7cm by 2cm footprint makes this buck converter a practical option where space around the power supply is limited. The 2.54mm soldering-hole pitch supports soldered pin headers for integration into a project. A specified 30mV ripple adds another useful parameter for supply selection. Together, the small board, header-compatible hole spacing and selectable output help simplify power arrangements in compact robot assemblies, LED projects and other builds requiring a lower DC supply voltage.
