Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D455 features stereo cameras that deliver excellent depth information for a variety of uses. Stereo cameras work well indoors and outdoors, making them ideal for robotics, drones, and more. Switching to the D455 using the Intel RealSense SDK 2.0 is easy with virtually zero development time. The D455 extends the distance between the depth sensors to 95mm, improving the depth (Z) error to less than 2% at 4m. The camera also integrates an IMU to allow applications to refine depth awareness in any situation where the camera moves.

The Intel RealSense Depth Camera D455 is an improvement over the D435 because it increases range by a factor of two. The SDK 2.0 is designed for seamless transitions from one generation to the next between the cameras.
